8th Grade Graduation

Hello Parents of Graduates,

As you are aware, Governor Pritzker along with the CDC have temporarily closed educational institutions and subsequently prohibited public gatherings in an attempt to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Although we have been unable to meet physically in our building, we have remained committed to providing our students with a quality education through remote learning. With that same effort and determination, we are working hard to provide our eighth graders with a memorable virtual graduation ceremony. We know that this celebration of your child’s accomplishment is a big part of the Coolidge experience, and we are all heartbroken we will not be able to share in this experience together as the Coolidge family. Remote Learning

Beginning April 13th due to the Governor's Stay at Home order, students will be completing their homework at home through Remote Learning. It is very important that all students complete their work by Friday of each week as these assignments are going to prepare them for high school. The recommendation is to work on each subject area for 30 minutes per day. This includes your Encore classes.

The research requirement of all 8th graders still needs to be met. If your student has not completed the research requirement please have them email their corrected research papers to Mrs. Fuller at sfuller@shsd151.org.

If you have any trouble with your computer or with Microsoft Teams please go the Student Help Desk to the left and fill out the form to communicate with our technology department for assistance.

From this website students will be able to communicate with their teachers by either the chat function or even by video chat. It will also give teachers the chance to meet virtually with their entire class by video chat. All assignments will be posted in the assignments section of their classroom team.
